This Time Next Year... Imagine Yourself...
NATHAN WILSON
February, 2020... I was skinny, malnourished and
undatable.
I knew a change was needed, but it felt impossible
to take that first step.
I begrudgingly forced myself to take a leap of
faith and join the dreaded gym. The smallest steps, the ones that seem
insignificant and impossible, are actually laid on the path of greatness.
The change I saw in my body, the progress, it added
to my motivation to keep going, to keep pushing on. I became obsessed with
strengthening not just my body, but also how it evolved my mind to build
resilience.
I trained with bodybuilders, cross-fit guys,
calisthenic wizards, competitive athletes and military men with wings on their
arms, soaking up all their work and wisdom like a sponge.
To build resilience, we have to confront our fears,
and the process of becoming the very greatness we are destined to become starts
in the gym.

In 2025, after writing two books and attending Phase
One military training with the Parachute Regiment Training Company, I began to
wonder about my purpose. I realised that what makes me feel most fulfilled in
life is helping others. I decided to earn my Level 3 Personal Training
qualification so I can help people become the greatest version of themselves.
A strong body is a statement that an individual can be relied upon to do the work.
